LOVE BACKED BY ACTION
Love is more than a feeling—it’s a deep, lasting bond built on mutual respect, support, growth, and trust. It’s about open hearts, empathy, embracing each other’s imperfections, flaws, with loyalty, and a shared commitment to navigate life’s challenges together while prioritizing happiness.
For years in my marriage, I longed for a love that didn’t just speak but showed up—through meaningful actions, a love that bring calm to chaos, light to the darkest days and making even the hardest days easier. A love that stands firm in tough times, whispering a promise that “No matter what, I’m here, I’ll always be by your side”. A love that makes me feel seen, safe, cherished, valued, and truly understood. That’s the kind of love worth waiting for—and worth giving, that’s the love I’ve always dreamed of.
Here’s what I know for certain: when someone truly cares about you, they’re mindful of how their actions affect your heart and soul. They don’t just speak promises—they live them. In any relationship, it’s essential that both partners feel seen, safe, loved, respected, and valued—and that’s shown through consistent, intentional actions. Women are deeply emotional, and often, men don’t realize that love and connection for a woman grow through open, meaningful conversations, active listening, and shared experiences. It’s about being fully present—showing genuine interest in her life, making her a priority, and spending quality time together. It’s expressing affection and support not just with words, but through actions that builds the foundation of trust and respect. True love and connection come from this heartfelt commitment and it is an ongoing dance of presence, care, and commitment.
Love grounded in action is the foundation and heartbeat of lasting strong relationships, and it takes two fully invested partners to make it thrive. In my marriage, I found myself dancing solo—lonely despite having someone beside me, caught in a connection that was missing its soul. There was no real emotional connection; I was merely a backup plan, a trophy wife balancing the life of a bachelor he lived outside our marriage with the role of half-hearted husband he played at home—only when it suited him. True love deserves more than silence and distance; it calls for more than just presence; it demands genuine connection, commitment, passion, and partnership (shared effort).
My ex-husband spoke of love but lacked the actions to match—wanting the comfort of family life while holding on to the freedom of a bachelor. Though he wanted the peace that comes with being a devoted husband, his presence was often absent. He expected care, support, and respect without embracing the responsibility that true partnership requires. We navigated his fragile ego with caution, he wanted the throne without putting in the work, but a true throne can only be earned through commitment and effort. Real love demands both heart and action, sometimes it’s hidden, complicated and protective, sometimes love is foresight, careful planning and quiet sacrifice.
True love is a daily commitment—a dance of effort, teamwork, and equality. It’s about solving challenges side by side, making decisions together, and making your partner feel truly cherished. Love speaks through both words and actions, with open hearts and honest conversations that build trust and create a safe space where your partner feels seen, heard, and valued. It’s about showing up when it’s hard, choosing happiness over wealth, and believing that real love is priceless. It’s dreaming of the future together, leaning on each other’s wisdom, and being each other’s constant support. True love lives in the little things—a genuine smile, a comforting touch, and the everyday moments that say,“I see you, I’m here”. Because in the end, love and loyalty are worth far more than money ever could and when everything else fades away and all else falls apart, love is what endures.
Real love doesn’t whisper—it shouts through actions. It’s the kind of love that never asks you to shrink or change, it never asks you to dim your light to fit into a mold or squeeze into a box. It’s the love that says, “I’ve got you; I’m here for you and with me, you’re safe to be your true self.”
The best love stories don’t start with fireworks, sometimes they start in the ashes.” - unknown
Love is what truly matters, and I’m giving myself freedom to love again and the permission to embrace it again—because love is truly a beautiful gift and a powerful force. I refuse to miss out just because of fear. What I’ve lost has made room for a fresh, genuine, authentic love that will come and find me when I least expect it. I believe that somewhere out there, the perfect man is waiting and ready to love me in ways I’ve never known—boldly, loudly, and unapologetically, backing his words with genuine actions. Love might not always show up on time or arrive on schedule and in ways that we understand nor expect, but when it does, it will be worth every moment of waiting. I’m ready to believe in it and open to receiving it. One day, a man will come who cherishes me the way I deserve—something my past never gave me. I eagerly await the day God blesses me with that extraordinary love, and I can’t wait for that blessing to unfold.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away - 1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8ππΎππΎ
